One of the
most famous of the Dragonbreed, Princess Lumina is the daughter and
heir to the Dragon Throne that is currently occupied by her mother Queen
Oscura. Her birth and life thus far have both been well-documented
– not a single Dragon in the kingdom knows not who she is, nor is there
a Dragon who doesn’t hold her in awe.
She possesses the same ability to control all Magickal elements as
her mother, except her potential in that regard is far greater than
Oscura’s will ever be. But,
this is all part of the Queen’s plan, for Lumina is Oscura’s ultimate
weapon to end the war between the Dragons and the Tigers.
Lumina is the result of the efforts of Queen Oscura and the last Sire of the Dragon Ancients, who remained behind until recently. His last seed, left as his final gift to Oscura, combined with the Queen herself would be the source of Lumina’s power. Power for good or for evil? She is intended as a means to wipe out the Tigers once and for all. Yet, there are memories hidden deep beneath the surface that could alter her destiny… |

Princess Lumina was begotten out of Queen Oscura's natural obligation to produce an heir to her throne. She was also Danny's first attempt to create a child version of his signature dragon-girls. The princess' backstory is a long one, but the short of it is that she's only recently been reunited with her mother after years of captivity in tiger hands. The story will soon be retold right here on 2wcOnline. Lots of folks have commented on Princess Lumina's cuteness, and yeah, she is adorable, ain't she? The question most frequently asked about her is that if her mother has black skin, why is Lumina's white? The answer is partly in her genes, but also in that she's still young. As a dragon gains increasing mastery over her element (or elements, as is the plan with Lumina), her skin will eventually turn the representative color for that element and reach a deeper shade as her experience progresses. When multiple elements are infused together, the colors combine; if enough of them combine, the skin turns virtually black, much like the queen's. Princess Lumina's original name was "Chuki," a name bestowed upon her by her adoptive mother Kilani. And yes, Lumina's name was inspired by a now-defunct line of cars and minivans by Chevrolet. As long as they don't bring that nameplate back, we're okay.
